Hi everyone,

I've been away from the forums for a while, yet mainly from posting. I do read the topics here from time to time. Mostly because life got busier and I didn't get to use my Beckers all that often anymore. Folders that are a bit more edc friendly came into place, yadda yadda.
Last year my girlfriend and I bought a house, in which we're living since half a year now. Winter has been long and super wet, yet spring has finally come. We have quite a bit of willow, poplar, some oak,...in the backyard and the previous owner wasn't really a fan of trimming, I suppose.
My BK4 was aching for some action so why would I ignore that?
It did wonderfully and cleaned up a bunch of wood.

Well, this thread is kind of an excuse to just post some BK4 pics to be honest ..
Really thought, what a knife. I'm glad I have a second one in case this one ever decides to quit.

Hope y'all are doing well. See you around.

Trees

More trees

Ready to be disposed. Dismembered by the mighty Macha. The knife is in the picture...

Took this one down just before winter, still need to dig out the rest.

The one and only. I really kinda prefer it over the 9 for this kind of work. You can't not have both though.

Cheers,
Jerry

good to see you posting and happy to hear things are going well for you and your girlfriend!

Thanks man! Have not been gone though, just not posting...

Good to see you back man. The 4 is awesome.

Thanks Warrior, glad to be posting again.

Welcome back GShark! Nice property you have. Good to see ya swinging the 4 around.

...how’s the fossil hunting been lately?

Thank you! We've been thinking of taking the trees down, because you do have a lot of debris from them but they're so nice in the summer.

Fossil hunting is still a big part of my weekends. Mostly gathering fossiliferous layer, sieving it and looking for small teeth at home (they're the most interesting) but large shark teeth are fun too.

These are from last week:

My Megalodon teeth from this spot. Going back tomorrow. I need a complete one!

Wow! Thanks for posting pics of the fossils you've found  Very Cool :)

Your wish is my command. Some of the better ones of today's haul. Alas, no Megalodon this time. Some different species though, as well as a tooth from a sperm whale. Second pic are 'bullae' from dolphins. It's part of their hearing organ. In contrast to humans where this is mostly cartilage, in sea mammals it's usually ossified (turned into bone).

Excuse my ignorance...I haven't been around in a while.. but why can't I even see my sig? Yes Dubz made my sig.. way back when..before he was a boss.

If you don't have a paid membership, you can't change your sig.

Is it because I am not a paid member? I will renew my gold but I need my PayPal money at the moment for something special. Miss this little corner
