BK4 vs. BK9

I went through this same process before getting my 4. I have both now (I mean, come on, who can't!), and I chose for the same reason. A) king is staying around, 4 is cheap. B) I don't have anything like it, and man is it cool!

In the end, I love my 9 and it chops like no other, but the 4 has a special place in my heart and gets the nod for a big blade. Plus, the sheath that comes with it is great, I use it for my 4 and my 9!

I would choose the 9 for myself, only because I've been using one pretty heavily for the past 3 years. But that's just my biased opinion, I've handled and briefly used the 4 when my brother came to camp out on our property for a week, and I absolutely loved it. It's like the modern evolution of a good kukri. I was surprised that it was smaller than I thought it looked in photos, which made me like it more. My brother had a dangler type sheath with it too, not sure if it came like that factory or if he modded it, but it looked factory. i don't see any real situation where you'd be let down by either. I've always been a Bowie style guy, carried a CS trail master before I got the 9, so I just stick with what I'm used to. That 4 looks pretty damn badass tho. Tough choice buddy.
