BK5 for batoning?

The 9 is perfect for batoning in all conditions.

But so is the BK10. All the wood in the last two pics are processed with the 10.
 
Again if you have decided against the 5 because of the swedge, are worried about the thickness (.25") or wieght (around 16oz) of the BK2 (the BK3 is just as thick but longer), are only going to be battoning 2-4" pieces of wood, and dont want to spend aver 100 buckaroos (I am assuming) the BK10, or BK7 are what you are probably looking for in the Becker camp.. Go for the 7 if you want a more chopability(since its about 2" longer at 7"), or go for the 10 if you want more portability (its around 5"). There are more points to either but I really think either of these would serve you quite well. If you want to spend over 100 the 12 would excel, its basically a good drop point balance between the 10 and the 7.

I think what we have found out here is that all of the Beckers are amazing, awesome, and you should buy them all... the question is just which one at this moment. My vote is for the ones that say "BK&T, Becker, or KA-BAR" on them...
