I left the ribs a little under cooked. They are in the slow cooker finishing up, and will be ready for Sunday Football Buffet. The salmon and the chicken came out perfect. We also had the Portobello's and a killer green salad.. Great meal and the BK5 worked perfectly.

Nice pics. I'll be there in 10 minutes.

DAYUM!!!!! NICE POST!!!! Now I'm very, very hungry. For steel and meat. Mostly the ribs though.

Moose

PS, Guyon, you better not.

now that was funny, you stepped into that one Moosez45.. knowing he's sick and twisted :0)

Cody1, real sad story there in your newspaper (I'm nosy like that) about the toddler being run over at daycare...

The BK5 reminds me of the old roach belly that was what? VERY popular in the 1700's?, I believe CS made a smaller version of the Roach Belly.. what say you?

After reading this thread I thought about making some spicy chicken and rice
with alittle help from my BK7....

Damn cody1, I just finished dinner 45 minutes ago, & now not only am I hungry again, all these Becker's keep popping up & making me want to order one now instead of next year . . . ;)
Good shots, getting harder & harder to be patient for that BKT, but have a few other things we are waiting on, so just have to bite the bullet . . .
How were the ribs ? ? ? :)
Be safe.

It's similkar in that it has a continuous curve to the blade. The Roach belly that is made by CS is their version of a patch knife. As I understand it, the patch knife was a smaller knife that was used to cut the patch to hold the powder, when reloading a musket. Basically, a pocket knife for the day. The continuous curve makes the BK5 a born slicer. And it's beastly, so it wants to cut through about anything. Went through the entire chicken, very easily. I'll have some more pics in a day or so. The blade is taking a great patina. Sliced up and apple and it did not split the apple but sliced it nicely.. The BK5 is made for the kitchen. A kitchen knife with some major attitude..

Really sad about that toddler. 18 months and gone. Poor parents, drop their kid off in the morning, to never see him alive again.

The chicken was awesome.

easy to make and taste excellent....

chicken/hot-wing sauce/rice/soy sauce

I do that mixture pretty often. Simple and tasty. Nothing beats Franks redhot on chicken.

What a perfect excuse to order one...hahahah hadn't occurred to me.

A mini scimitar for butchering, perfect!
