BK5 Leather Scales and strip-in progress(COMPLETE!3/5/15)

Very nice! How do you think the durability of the leather will be vis-a-vis a harder material? Bet they feel GREAT though. 😃

Not sure really, haven't put them thru any paces yet. I really have no plans for this for the BK2 or 9 which would really tell all. I did recent acquire another lifting belt for $5! I may get to it, who knows. I plan on keeping the 2 and 9 stock for now although I have been tossing around the idea on leather my-carta with some material I stripped from a freebie Craigslist chair.
I kinda thought this idea just popped into my head but there a thread here where a guy has a similar build but with 2 layers of thinner leather instead of one thick piece.

To answer your question: I dunno... Haha

I'm sure it's less durable than man made.
