I don't have one of those yet. I think I'd strip it and file off the hammer pommel. Also I like to do some scales out of horn or antler or something.

I'm certainly not ruling out a strip+polish+wooden scales for mine :) They look sooooo sweeet stripped. But for practicality's sake, I'll probably wait until the stock finish gets damaged.

I also dig the longer ricasso on the older version.
