Bk6 just came in the mail

O.K. I can finally breath now. Last Saturday I seen an add for 3 BK6 for sale, found in a box in the warehouse, but it was to late to call. I had to wait for Sunday to be over with. Well, Monday was President Day so that was a no-go. Tuesday morning I'm on the phone no answer. Finally about 1 1/2 hours after opening I talked to Kevin, nice guy, he had to check if there were any left. Kevin came back on the phone with great news, one left of course I just about broke my wrist getting my card out to pay for it. Since Tuesday I have been patently waiting until to day. Talk about quick shipping. So with out further adieu, I present the BK6 new in the box with grease still on the blade....

K-BAR Micarta scales should be in tomorrow. Now I have a BK6 and a BK7, do I go up in numbers or down for my next one? On a funny note after I bought it I started thinking- To good to be true - and emailed Bladite and he assured me that it was good- Thanks again Bladite

Nice score! With a 7 and 6, I think you have most of your needs covered. Just add a Necker or Escabar and you are covered. ;) But if you want to get more, I think a 2 is a good option.
 
you really cant call yourself a BeckerHead until you own and use a BK2

that 6 is beastly looking! looks perfect for jungle work

Damn, been a long time since I saw a Patrol Machete with packing grease on the edge.

You got a good 'chete, for a good price, amigo. Truly you did. Enjoy it, and be sure and feed it often, it really likes hardwood with a side of greens.

Bladite, like how soon, months or years? I hate to say it, I already want another one...is there an antidote for this? AHHH!!

As said before, that BK6 is great...but to really get in the Beckerhead game, u got to have the BK2... just kidding,man.....enjoy your blade and welcome to BECKERDOM.... and as I've said before; you'd swear you're at Hotel California... in that 'U can check out any time you'd like, but you can never leave.;)

well, that's the thing :> nobody has said officially, and i have no idea how fast they can move on this over where they are making them, so... could be weeks (unlikely, really), or months, or seasons :> probably not years.

how about a beckering pool? you a beckering man? yeah! June 23rd!

oh yeah. just opened my box. new and shiny. lotsa grease. this one gets swapped into the vault, and the older use sees the light of day ;)

in comparing this to the Fiskars Brush Hook that i have, they're almost the same length, with the Fiskars having more weight forward. it's a softer steel, and sharpens easily in the field, and is basically indestructable so far. the hook is great for whippy little vines and stuff, and i've chopped 3+ inch stuff with it. $21 :)

the BK6 is unquestionably a large knife, from tip to guard, it's all edge, and a great backcountry bushcrafting tool. great steel, heated treated, and tough.

i'd cut roots with the Fiskars. it's almost disposable :) the BK6 gets the clear wood and lack of rocks. i'm funny that way. McShitty Axe for dirt, Good axe for wood.

i love me my tools :>
