So OREGON FAL'ER decided once again to be a cool dude and let me borrow his BK7 so I could get a feel for it.... well I don't think it likes me :( it was in the sheath from the factory and I didn't get the snap snapped apparently so when I went to put it on the table it slid out and bit me! :( fortunately it was an even clean cut, I put pressure on it instantly. the cut's about an inch or so long, little less than a quarter inch deep, right in the meaty part of my hand. Work tomorrow is not going to be fun....

Didn't get a pic of the open wound... too worried about bleeding and such. just butterfly bandaged it shut cleaned it with alcohol and the super glued it shut.

I splinted my pinky straight so I don't flex that part of my hand. Hopefully I can be friends with this knife again....

whoa. you're very lucky! with that size blade it could've easily hit your leg or a major artery. now oregon fal'er will have to sell you that knife for cheap...you're practically blood sisters now. my vote still goes for a bk-9 though.

not a dude but a dudette...it's a girl on girl acti...:foot: nevermind. like someone already mentioned, a lot of beckerheads are already hot and heavy with a girl posting here :D

LOL I dunno I wanna try her out first. The BK9 won my heart pretty easily.

The BK7 is a very jealous one owner knife , try talking sweet before you even hold the knife...;)..I love my BK7...:D

The BK7 is still by far my favorite in the Becker line up. I still give much love to the 2, and I know the 9 is a beast for chopping, but dammit, the 7 is just sexy!

I agree with JV3 though, Oregon Fal'er should sell that one to you cheap! :thumbup:

Yikes. I think Moose is right. If you don't feed them wood constantly they'll bite back. Its happened to me several occasions. Twice with my BK11 and a few times with my BK2. Since then I've been wearing my work gloves handling them...just in case. The BK7 is nice but I like the BK9 on you more... Hubba hubba :D

I gotta go with Bushy on this one. OF should give you that knife or sell it to you. If it draws blood, its yours. Most of mine have, and the ones I bled on, don't get loaned out. That simple. I keep a box of old knives that never bit me. Not alot of knives in that box.

Work on him some, Fal'er, you know its the right thing to do. :D
