Oh man he hasn't even got to use it that much himself! I would feel bad....

This being injured thing is inhibiting finishing my fork for the contest :(

Tuff'n up, chica, those are Beckers you're using.;):D

I have broken, cut, and fileted my hands on more than one occations, in my 33yrs tenure here on Mother Earth. The last hand break was by far the worst. I shattered and rearranged all the bones in my right hand, and now have a permanent lump on the back of my hand. My hands hurt so much from stitching leather, using knives, and so many other things, it sounds like I break my hands every morning, when I crack them limber, and go run them under hot water.

Take care of those paws, because this MoosezHooves will tell ya, it don't get easier as you get on with life.

yes sir! I am almost done though, shouldn't be too hard I can use my left hand it's just not quite as coordinated. Should be good for me

I used to call my left hand "Stupid Hand". Now, since my break, he has moved to the top of the class. Righty is now "Stupid Hand". He got his name during reahab (carving with a BK2 and BK9), everytime I went to grab something, I would drop it or knock it over, followed by the statement, "Stupid Hand". I may be slow, but I sure do poor work.

I like it! Tomorrow my left hand is going to be my tired hand because of work. I was just thinking about trying to use it more recently too.... *shakes fist towards heavens*
 
Didn't Oregon FAL'er cut himself with that same knife? If so, that is a thirsty blade!

Yep that was my BK2. I just got that BK7 last night , I owned it for less than 24 hours , didn't really even want one, but found a decent price and thought I'd give it a go.
My goal with loaning these blades is kinda like a passaround, get the steel in peoples hands and use the tools.

Sorry, but I just had to post something obnoxious. When I saw the phrase "pinky-splint", I busted out laughing. Hope it heals up soon, and you can get through the next few days without it opening up again.

Off topic, I know, but same here. Hot water, then sit with both hands wrapped around a large hot mug of coffee. Takes me twenty minutes to loosen up. :(

Haha, cauterizing didn't cross my mind no....

Didn't have time to whittle my own splint the bf was getting nauseous!! I just grabbed a chopstick :P

Maybe next time. hopefully there won't be a next time... Also the super glue seems to be holding well, I took of the splint thingy and I can bend my hand, just not make a fist.

Epsom salts really did a good job of cleaning my cut out. Mostly all healed up now. No infections.
 
Dang people, I hope this isn't the beginning of the end for us. Beckers everywhere rise up and start taking people down! Nom nom nom.

It is! it's mostly a joke, he's far more passive than I am so it's kinda the joke of our group of friends that I would be in charge of the kicking butt :P
 
I was told once, that to be one with your knife it has to draw your blood. Looks like Oregon FAL'er has to give you that BK-7 now. :)

well, no :) you cut yourself with a knife of mine, you knew the risks... i'll help patch you up, laugh at you, and make you clean my knife ;) it's not yours just cuz you bleed out on it ;)

that rule only works if you bought it first, and then bleed. if you bleed out, first one to find the knife keeps it? maybe. ;) :D
