BK7 modified sheath

No problems brother Razor! Am having them machined up as we speak.

I just have some pics to post by weeks end!

are Micarta handles as tough as the stuff on the becker c/u7? I wouldnt think so..but black micarta rox..what coulur?? what would be the best way to remove the black expxy fron the blade??--mb

I have some black linen micarta which turns a rustic grey/brown colour when bead blasted ~ like on many combat knives these days.

Micarta is pretty darn tough, but I doubt as robust as the glass epoxy (alloy?) of the original 7's handle slabs. The micarta will give it a 'more grip' feel when blasted and it looks great.

Yes, I too have thought of getting anothet to play with. I was going to try blasting it to see if the plating would come of and then if it did not work, buff the crap out of it on my buffer. Nothing like the smell of burnt coating in the morning...

...But either way, because of the high carbon content on these excellent blades, we would really have to fight the rust away me thinks. But then again, I sorta like the looks of the tarnished carbon blades of old!

Have struck a small problem with the screws so going back to the drawing board....Rev 2 I think they say..

Guys,
Folks have modified their BK&T's since Ethan first started making them o'so many years ago. In this case, you don't need to get new screws...they are already stainless. If you are just wanting the stainless look for cosmetics.....just polish the black oxide off.

Have fun, but I'll tell you, most folks end up putting the original scales back on ;)
