BK7 Sheath

So, a while back, while looking through the Sheaths and Such forum, a young man asked if someone could make him an inexpensive leather sheath for his new BK7. I contacted him and explained that I am a novice sheath maker but I would give it a try. He specifically asked for a horozontal carry sheath and I have never made one. But I try to push myself further with each sheath I make so I said I was in. So, after much planning and work, this is what I came up with. The dye shade was Fiebings mahogony. It came out darker than I planned but not as dark as it appears in the photos. If there is any interest, I would like to offer up making another sheath for a pass around. I have a BK2,7,9 and recently got one of the special BK4 recently offered by KaBar. So, here is what I came up with for a horozontal carry BK7 sheath.

Wow. Looks like we have another leather bender in our midst! The barbwire pattern looks amazing, and I LOVE the shape, it follows the bk7 lines perfectly. Just awesome good sir.

Seriously. I just started at Christmas. But, I have been a student of You tube and bought Paul Longs instructional DVD's. I should add though that I am a dentist, so I consider myself to be pretty good with my hands.

interesting. very interesting!

What is the brass D-ring on the tip for may I ask?

Looks pretty great....I like the color and engraving. very nicely done!

That looks awful good for a novice. Must be some natural talent. Very nice sheath, Eagle.

I put those on my sheaths to be a lashing point to tie around the leg in vertical carry. I had already done it before I realized it wasn't needed on this sheath. Oh well,,,it looks cool.

thats what I thought it was...but then I'm like ''its a scout sheath, dont need a leg strap''. LOL it all makes sense now!

For someone who started at Christmas that is very impressive.

I like the mix of chunky + intricate...

FnF looks spectacular, great coloring, and the barbed wire is dope.
