bk7 vs bk9 as a soldier knife

Go with the 7, its the perfect size and will do everything a soldier needs, Breaking tradition, I like it over my old Kabar.

Congrats to your friend

OT: I don't know about blade length limits and all, but the 9 is a whole lotta blade ànd it's very light, versatile, comfortable etc. Just saying.

The guy who did the killing. During the first Iraq invasion. Cleared a bunker with it.

I would have to agree with Murph, as much as I hate it. The BK-10 or BK-12 would be great carry blades. I believe some units restrict blade size, and I think these both fall under allowed length for pretty much all units. Either one would be handy in a fight, or for any and all basic knife related tasks out in the suck.

I would have to lean towards the 7 as a combat blade. It's short enough to be nimble, and the point is longer for easier penetration of clothing for assault scenarios.

It's all down hill from here, you're doomed.
