Hey guys, been away from BF for awhile, mostly hang on the Esee forum. I've reently been drawn towards the BK7. Having a few different models in the size ranges of the other models Becker offers I have almost decided to pull the trigger on one. I was hoping to get some feedback here and maybe some in use pics to help me decide. I do have a short kabar bowie and would like to know how the two compare also if anyone can help. Thanks

Just got one. Love the knife, and like it much more the my KaBar heavyBowie(short). However, the factory edge was missing a proper finish and it took me about 30min to do the job. Other than this , it's really great.

Its my Fav out of the Becker line.

there are a TON of pictures and articles and writeups on this knife in this forum... 15 minutes searching should keep you busy for hours. or just browse.

I love the 7. I have the 2,7,9,10. Have not really used the 10, but the seven is my favorite camp knife. Its also the only one I keep next to the recliner. :)

Which knot? The paracord? That's just 28 ft of paracord I keep there in case of an emergency. I don't use that stuff unless I really, really need it. Same with the small bundle of yellow cord. I carry 128 ft of that yellow cord which is 125 lb test on the side of my possibles pouch that I use. Can never have enough cord in the bush, that's for sure.

Oh, you mean the knot in the paracord? That takes about 8 sec to untie. But like I said before, I will only use that cord if I really, really need it.

Bundle mostly. I like the positioning and such. I don't usually carry spare paracord unless it has a specific task or use. Space I could use for other items. Just seemed like it could be useful it's not too much of a PITA to set up and take down.
