Yeah they are the best. Yesterday I emailed ethan. He and Tooj are awesome. I will definitely still buy their knives.

Well...if you sit back and watch long enough, darn near everything will go by. I don't send a car back to the factory when a head light goes out, and I can't see moaning over a loose handle screw. Tighten them and get on with your life......jumpin jeezuz !

To be honest, I haven't used any of my knives other than the BK2 and that was very limited use. I did, however, check the screws on all 3 of my beckers last night(BK2, BK7, BK9) and ALL of them were "loose". I use the term "loose" because they were certainly not tight but they weren't in danger of falling out either. I tightened them all down pretty good so I don't expect any problems. I guess I honestly wouldn't have paid much attention if I hadn't come across this thread......so thank you for making this thread!
I did notice that I think I could get a lockwasher on my BK7 and BK9 without too much trouble. When I tightened down the screws, there is a decent amount of thread left over. After tightening my BK2, I didn't notice nearly as much thread remaining so perhaps the screws on my BK2 are a bit shorter than the ones used on my BK7 and BK9.

Not that it's any correlation but after checking my babies the bk3 (most unused) had two loose ones.

Curious - I use the 2 and 9 waaaaaaaay more and no issue....

Luck of the draw? Either way, tightened mine up.

Damn, what a necro thread! ha ha! Yeah, stainless socket head screws are a dime a dozen at any local hardware store. 10-32 x 5/8" or 10-24 x 5/8" will work, just get the appropriate sized nuts.

In theory, the finer threads will be less likely to loosen up.

My friend has sprayed the screws with a thin layers of clear polyurethane to help with rust issues. It's been a few years and I don't recall seeing any rust on his screws either.

My Becker's use natural thread locker, rust. All organic, none of that sissy synthetic stuff.

I've been meaning to look at Lowe's but that would require remembering.
