bk9 and trail hawk strippin goodness

Hey yall, so i've been meaning to strip my 9 and cs trailhawk for a while and for whatever reason, i just randomly decided today to do it.

Disclaimer: phone pics, apologies for quality.

before shot. Never tried strypeeze before, but it was cheap and got the job done:

coated in the goo. Consistency was pretty thick, it was hard to get an even spread on em both:

went over it with a wire brush, the coating came off really easily in some spots and i bit more stubbornly in others. No doubts a reflection of my inability to evenly spread the gunk

All said and done, she came out lookin alright i think!

All in all, i'd say it was a success.

I'm in the midst of making my own micarta scales for the 9, ill post an update when im finished. Not in any rush, so bare with me.

Yea, i was draggin my feet with the 9 but I'm glad i finally got around and did it. I think beckers really look great stripped.

thanks! i'm pleased with how they turned out. I could have probably done a better job finishing them, but i suppose that can wait till i have more time to just sit and tinker.

Nice! I have a CS trailhawk that is in line for the stripper bath at the moment. Really like the looks of that hawk stripped. My BK9 has already taken the dip....

I've only recently pulled the trigger on my BK9. Owned a BK2 for awhile, and got a BK7 in between. Somehow, to me, they just look more "real" when stripped of their coating. Can't wait to try this out on my own.
