how was the scar? how long till you went to the hospital?

No hospital. Although i did watch it very closely for infection, and i would have gone to the doc if anything didnt look right.

Did you sharpen the knife or was it the factory edge?

it was not the factory edge.

One of my most severe cuts while hiking, has been because i was too lazy to sheath my knife. Good to see you carried a FAK and you obviously knew how to use it :thumbup:

I ended up in a bad situation ounce, and all i had was a store bought FAK. Since then i assemble my own FAK, and carry it anytime I'm away from help.

yeah her and i have a lot of memories together.

BTW , I try to stuff disposable razors into my fak's (I steal them from my wife) . Shaving a 3 inch perimeter around a wound makes it easier to bandage and reduces the risk for infection . And no , my knives are not as sharp as a disposable razor...

yeah i learned that lesson the first time i changed the dressing.
