BK9, Ontario sp10, or Condor Golok?

Alright fellas I need a little help here. Father's day is coming fast and I've got a tough decision to make. Right now my edc is a spyderco native and I've got a RAT 5 that I love. Throw in a couple of kukris and a good axe. I'm trying to convince myself that I NEED one of the above. I don't own any of the great Becker knives so I'm leaning in that direction. However, I love the profile of the sp10 and yet I can't stop thinking about the Condor.
I don't spend a lot of time camping or hunting. Just the occasional day off out in the woods collecting fire wood and practicing a little bushcraft.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Really not sure the Golok should be compared with the other two here. It's more of a heavy machete than a survival style knife.

They aren't that much money, in total. You can find all for around $150.00, so I'd say get all three and treat yourself! It sounds like you want all of them... and you'll probably buy them eventually in the future, so you mine as well get them in one straight shot. Just my opinion.

If you want a pure chopper,I'd say Golok, though the other two are no slouch. The other two are great blades with the ability to chop, but would also work better at bushcraft in a pinch.

The Golok is a lot of blade for a little $$.
it will outchop the other 2 and do double duty as a machete -- but edge retention isn't quite as good. (easy to resharpen, though)
OTOH, the other 2 are easier to carry, since they're 5" shorter overall.
none of the 3 are particularly "bushcrafty", but if you have a smaller blade with you, that's not a problem.

Not knocking the other two for a moment, but you clearly need a Becker BK9. Your inner voice is already saying so and you know it to be true.

See it chop!

 I like your thinking but I've got to leave myself something to look forward to come my birthday and Christmas. :D

It's the Machete Fever. We have it. And it is highly contagious. :D:thumbup:

If you are looking for a do all, but not to get through vines, go with the Bk-9. It has great edge retention and wonderful geometry
If you want something to replace a chopper or small axe, go with the golok.

what chops better the ontario sp10 or the becker bk9
also the becker did not do so well on the knife test bye noss4
thanks

Lol - you and your knife test. Mine chops like a freak. It would be chopping right now if I didn't have it chained up and under constant surveillance. Seriously - you can't believe everything you hear on knife test. Beckers are outstanding and the BK9 is a great example of Becker engineering.
