My BK9 was curved too, just like yours: I suspect most BK9 owners are not particular enough to even notice it... The bending is very obvious when you look down the spine of the blade, but not easy to pick up in photos or from other angles... A total dealbreaker for me...
I did try to straighten it by jumping on it between two piles of books: The problem is that it is the thickest part of the blade that is bent, and it is bent throughout the blade/handle... This is obviously a tempering issue... Jumping on the center of it with one foot did improve things slightly, but not enough. I liked the way the knife fitted very well inside its sheath, without too much scratching or any looseness: Kudos to Becker for that, but the blade issue just shows I simply needed a more expensive knife... This simply isn't good enough, even if it doesn't affect function. I think if you paid $80-100 for a screwdriver, the screwdriver would be straight...
I've had way more expensive knives with the tip slightly off-centered and bent, but the tip is infinitely easier to fix than the main blade. To me they either fix this issue or they will never seem me as a customer again... I suspect the issue will remain forever, given the perception of the fanbase.
