Looks like a good bounty. Wherever you are it looks pretty close to east TN. That's some familiar landscape you've got there. Coyotes are a problem around here. Their populations are a little too high. The red fox populations are having a really hard time because of them. I'm guessing they're a little thick where you're at, too.

Yeah I'm in far western VA. Right on the VA/WV line, but a bit north of TN. We kill them because they kill our sheep. Most of them do it for sport and don't even eat the sheep.

Nice work, have to look after your live$tock. What did you kill them with?

Do you have any donkeys in the pasture with the sheep??

We kill them with snares that we hang in a fence line.

We do have donkeys but ours are actually pretty worthless as far as protecting the sheep goes.

Thanks!

@Job, If you're referring to the dog as opposed to the coyotes, he's a very large Australian Shepherd. :D

Awesome!! I do lots of coyote hunting out here in Arizona but nothing looks as good as the fur you have there!
Were are you located? Are you selling the fur and if so what are you getting??

Thanks. I'm in VA. We don't usually sell the furs but if we do the buyer does the skinning. I'll see if I can get my dad to find the pictures of a couple black ones we killed.

Here are the pics of some of the black ones we've caught.

This is dad holding our first black one, and it was one of the biggest coyotes we've ever caught. It was a monster. Maybe 5 have outdone it in size, and we've caught a ton of coyotes since. I was actually almost too young to remember it, I remember us being surprised by it but everything else is kinda fuzzy.

Here's my favorite black one, had an awesome white blaze on it's chest. My Grandpa got the hide tanned and has it on the agreement that I get it when he doesn't want it anymore.

And here's a pretty scrubby one, but still had black fur.

Good work. I used to do a lot of calling in Eastern Colorado. We knew a lot of the ranchers and they'd call us when the coyotes would over populate and start taking calves, dogs, etc...

Awesome. I'm headed out to do a little dog reduction here shortly myself. Love the dark phase dogs you got.

Here we can't call as well as people can out west. Far too hilly with too much brush to see for a good distance unless you get way up high.

Thanks. Post some pics when you get one.

Here's one more pic to show the size of the black one with white blaze. I was slightly under 6 feet tall when this pic was taken.
