In November there's a BKS (Belgian Knife Society) knifeshow in Gembloux. Here's the poster:

Everybody who's in or close to Belgium at that time should visit. If you want extra info, shoot me a PM and I'll be glad to answer any questions.
I hope to meet some Blade forum members over there!

Kind regards,

Jos

I can't send pms so I'll ask you my question here. Is there a form to send to be able to enter the BKS or is the entrance open to anyone paying the 2 euro fee? What to expect from the BKS? Is it more directed towards knifemakers and professionals? From the plan I can see there is a forge and an atelier. Would that mean that people will be at work forging and making knives during the event? I'm from Switzerland and it wouldn't be a problem to drive or to take a quick plane to the event I just want to be sure that I'm not misled.

The knifeshow is open to anybody who pays the 2 euro entrance fee. Tables of course have to be reserved. There will be forging demonstrations during the show. The BKS is the Belgian Knife Society, they organize the show. It is not restricted to knifemakers and professionals (although there will be plenty of those around!:D), like I said everybody is welcome.

Feel free to ask more questions if needed.

Kind regards,

Jos

I'll certainly will be there. The makers are very friendly, you can buy their products. You'll find from the very high end to practical knives. The factory made knives are not so present.Mostly professionals or part timers. They speak almost all french, english, dutch and a lot of germans are there too.

Hi,

i´ll be there to,
with some interesting knives. Kizlyar, Brkt, Okapi, Svörd and i got some interesting Nativs "Ifugao Tribe Knives".

We have at the same date a knife show in germany which is realy good, but Gembloux is not only a knife show , it is like a big family meeting of Knife enthusiats from many places of europe.
And the Belgiums are very hospitable. Gembloux is it realy worth to drive some hours
