Here are two Lanny's Clips that I just finished.

They are Christmas gifts for two brothers from their father. I made a Stag Lanny for the dad back in August and when he received it he liked it so much that he called and asked me to rush these through before Christmas. I made no promises but was able to finish them off in the nick of time.

The steel is CMP 154cm with the Black Micarta sporting a Bullocks shield while the Ivory Micarta has a Federal shield.

Let me know what you think!

Those look awesome! It's wonderful that you were able to adjust your schedule. These two brothers are going to have a very Merry Christmas.:)

Best I have felt all day after seeing those. Brent those are excellent. I have liked your work from the start and it keeps looking even better.

looking good Brent! Your work is showing consistency and nothing shows it off better than when you do two of the same pattern together.:cool:

Thanks Kerry! They're awful close but.... Hey let's make a game out of it. I can see the slight differences, can you guy's? I know the pic's are not great, but let's chicken eye 'em a bit.

The ebony looks like it is about an 1/8" longer than the ivory (both the blade and overall), but that could be the pictures. Also, the swedge looks slightly different, but that is on the same picture where one blade looks a little longer, so it could be the pictures again. (Also, the whole thing could be my monitor, I'm at work and this monitor distorts EVERYTHING).

The sharpening choil is different on the two blades. The ebony knife is pointier, the ivory knife has a slightly more upswept tip. The bolster end on the the ivory knife is wider than its ebony brother. The butt of the ivory has a more gradual curve than the ebony does.

Nice pair of knives Brent! They won't mix 'em up or confuse them, that's for sure!! What great presents - chips off the old block!!:D

Those will make a very Merry Christmas for two brothers. Very nice!
