Anyone know if this is legal in NYS? thanks and keepem sharp

I looked at the law but couldn't find anything on it other than the law for NYC and blade length there.

Longbow,
I cant find anything saying its NOT legal, and i wouldnt worry about buying and using it.
Do you carry large fixed blades? Theres NO law against large folders, i asked LE's and they dont know of any laws pertaining to this being a problem.
I wouldnt dig a splinter out of my hand at Walmarts with it.
Unless its a BIG Splinter ;)

read it, my pencil can be dangerous if used correctly, its all in how its perceived. i know someone who just last week got the hell beat out of him from a guy who pulled off his prosthetic arm and beat him silly.
Is it illegal ? When used like that, id say so.
IMHO/ YMMV

It seems after rereading this law that any knife that is opened via thumb stud can be construed as a dangerous weapon here in NYS. However as long as you have a hunting or fishing license you will be ok owning a gravity knife or switchblade here. I think intent has to be proven that you intend to use the knife as a weapon and unless you are doing something wrong I don't know how they can charge you with anything under this law.

If this is here next week still I'll hop on it I think. I've wanted a B B for a good long time so a little longer waiting won't be a problem. keepem sharp and thanks

If you arent a hoodlum who regularly gets searched by police I wouldn't worry about it. If it saves your life and you are charged with possessing it later once again seems a small price to pay.
