Hi everybody!

This is my first post here. I've just got my new spydie - Paramilitary new out of the box and I'd like to share my excitement with you.
Now that's a crazy sharp blade! The opening is smooth and overall tuning is what you'd expect from Spyderco - flawless. I totally love the handles - the grip is secure and the jimping on the blade adds a lot to it - well done Spyderco!
Oh, and what about the lock - with one word EXCELLENT.:thumbup:

I made some pics:

Thanks for your kind remarks.

Some more thoughts on my Para:

- I really like the camo style handles and the fact that the pattern on each knife is unique makes it kind of cool

- the black coating on the blade is very smooth in contrast to the coating on my BM 630

- the only thing I'd change is adding a half inch to the blade :D

- overall this knife is beautiful and it's built like a tank - great for "urban jungle" ;)

The Para is an awesome blade. Go for the Millie next if you want a larger Spydie.

yeah, I'm just waiting for a blue version - that color is still missing in my Spydie collection ;)

Man, you are killing me ...I have one on order. I have had a full sized full serrated millie for a while (got a great deal on the SE) but I have been jonesing for the para. The black blade and the camo is the best combo I have seen in a while!!

Hey, you surely won't be dissapointed, this knife ROCKS. What I forgot to mention is that the blade is 100% centred when the knife is closed . My other Spydies (all made in Seki) are slightly off-centre.
When I first saw Military with Digital Camo scales about a year ago, I just wished Spyderco comes out with Camo Paramilitary and when the 09 catalog was out, I was totally blown away - black with camo is an ingenious combination .

Some more pictures to let you want it more ;):)

Sweet ... that knife is on my list. The ZT 0350 is first. I have a Millie with black on black - a great knife indeed. Thank you for the pics she's beautiful.

Sweet pics,Awesome knife. Are the scales slightly translucent in bright light?

Good question! I put it under a scrutiny and found out, that - indeed - they are. I think that the scales are translucent and that the camo pattern is somehow glued onto the external side as you can see on this photo:

So that the camo pattern is slightly to be recognized when looking on the internal side of the scales:

That's cool.I thought they might be,just by looking at your first few pictures.

I just got mine. (It has more tan than the pics above:)). I have well over 300 knives and this camo para is the silkiest/smoothest knife straight out of the box ever. Just like yours the blade was exactly centered and the lock up was rock solid. I am not as nimble with the comp. lock as a liner lock but as nice as this bad boy is...I will learn.
