Black boot knife sheath clips available?

All I can find are nickel plated clips and I want a durable black...like a nitrided or similarly tough finish.

My first thought was to sand off the NI finish and either hot blue or heat to red and air cool for an oxide finish, but I'm hoping someone out there can point me to a better option...preferably one that doesn't mess up the existing spring temper.

I buy the clips I use at my local Tandy store. They don't have the exact clip in their catalog, but they do have black clips.
