The black is a forced patina on the surface of the blade that will change as the knife is used but this process creates a pretty dramatic patina over the years
52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated in my Evenheat furnace to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles creating a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind with forged texture on the flats
The grind has been hand sanded to 400 grit for a better take on the patina
The clip is not sharpened
Professionally stabilized figured walnut handle with a few worm holes
Overall length: 11 inches
Blade: 6 1/4 inches
Depth at the chiol is 1 3/4 inches
Weight: 12 ounces
Oiled leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
