Black chrome?

Hi guys.

I have a knife that I want to 'black chrome' the bolsters, and maybe the blade.

They are now mirror polished, and I'd like to black coat them so that they look like black chrome.

Any ideas on how to do this?

chrome is a clear plated coating
what ever that is conductive under it for
electroplating it will show through,
Nickel Chrome shows the nickel plating
find someone that does custom chroming and your home free
