Black coated Delica

I don't know about online dealers but I just picked one up about a month ago at the my PX. They are great little knives.

Well, I just returned 2 black-coated Delicas, a combo-edge and plain-edge, because the seller was using the new catalog picture and description from the link above, but the knives turned out to be series-3 or earlier ones that they admitted had been sent out to be coated by a 3rd party. They weren't even in Delica boxes, but old beat-up boxes from other models with the labels covered over, and they were still selling them as NIB. The knives themselves didn't look bad, but were not what I expected or wanted. :grumpy:

According to Kristi (thanks, Kristi! :thumbup:) from Spyderco, the new all-black Delica4 will only be available in combo-edge (initially?), and I haven't been able to find a legitimate one for sale anywhere yet. :(

Yep I am sure, I got a pic on here in a different post. Do a search for my name. I guess Sal made sure the guys in the desert got first pick...
