Sort of a recycle project here I guess. An old Nicholson File, some scrap copper I was given recently, and an Elk shed I got from a friend. This blade has a very Hamon which I couldn't seem to photograph for the life of me!

Thanks for the kind comments guys. By all means use the design if you like. I'm sure I stole from someone else!

I meant to say that the spot on the sheath is an ill-timed raindrop, not a stain.

I love the look of the copper furniture and great looking Elk stag to boot.. :thumbup:

Is this a hidden tang design?. If so, can you please explain the construction process a bit?. And is she still available?

It is a hidden tang knife. The runs approx 2/3 of the way through the handle. The copper butt is secured in place with epoxy, and the large copper pin you can see. I turned down a piece of lightning rod to make that pin/ pommel. As you probably know, the copper will quickly develop a patina which you will either love or hate.

Thanks very kindly for your explanation on the construction process, and your insight on the copper issues! But fear not, copper patina is absolutely gorgeous and can be manipulated into wonderful color shades when the knife is cared for properly resulting in a tool one can be proud to own..:cool:
