Black Friday buys

I held off buying any knives during the Tgiv/Black Fri/Cyber Mon craziness.

But I have a few I plan on buying before Xmas.
 
Nothing caught my eye on the big sites, but I had a custom slipjoint order come through and had to pick up a fixed blade by one of the custom makers on the exchange, so I don't feel left out :rolleyes:

Yeah, I got the sale emails from Brous, too. I already have a Sniper in blue, but it's the linerlock version and the thinness of of the liner always bugged me. Plus I had to send it back once because it wouldn't lockup sometimes. BUT he fixed it and it's a great little knife, one of my favorites, so I bit on the acidwash framelock version. Got it yesterday. Needs some breaking in but overall very happy with it.

I would have gotten the import Division, too, but they were sold out by the time I saw the email.
 
Nothing yet, but the bladehq Kershaw cryo with D2 steel is really tempting me at only $35
 
I found a BM puukko at a local store and swooped that up#681...no discount but you cant find them anywhere right now. Most of the others i still want werent on sale anyways

All were on very good sales. Got my flashlight itch scratched with an Olight X7R Marauder. Price was reduced significantly yesterday, see it’s back up to regular price today. Even came with a free Olight M1T.
 
Got a rocking deal on Benchmade Pagan so I decided to take the plunge since all of my other OTF's are Microtechs. Not sure that I will like the chisel grind but it is not really a knife to use for everyday cutting, mostly just cool and maybe for defense in a desperate last ditch situation.

Also picked up a Otnat to handle most of the EDC chores.
 
Got the SOG TAC 14 California Auto. Ordered friday, arrived today, really impressed with the shipping speed and the knife itself. My first SOG.

I got a second Massdrop x Laconico Keen, which will likely be the end of my buying for some time. I’m looking to make it a pet project to pick one knife to buy in 2019, probably at Blade West if it is held here again. The Keen has already become a daily carry, killing my rotation habits and resulting in me giving away a knife and possibly moving others.

But, I saved the best for last:

My lady has been expressing interest in kitchen knives, and asked me a couple months back to research them for her.

They arrived today— a three piece, Shun Premier set. I just inspected them. *^%#ing hell, they are impressive.
 
I’ve been tempted by many great deals when it comes to knives and I had to pick up something. I ended up with a Zero Tolerance 0920, although they have been on sale for some time now. I’ve had my eye on it and think the current price is a fantastic deal for this knife. I also bought a Kershaw to give as a gift. I like giving knives for Christmas presents because I think of them as useful tools that someone may actually get some use out of.

It is. I have been carrying mine a ton since I got it. Mine is Camo and looks great, but the black/red looks even better IMO.

I don’t know of a better value in S90V or similar steel out there for the $$$.

To me it didn't seem like the sale prices were that much different if at all from what they usually are. I started reading posts from others on FB and noticed Black Friday isn't what it used to be so here's to hoping after Christmas sales are better.

Same here. Not overwhelmed by any deals out there and so didn't wind up getting anything. I will say that the $89 Bradley Kimura did have me tempted.
