I've always like the look of black G10 on a knife, and I like the smell of napalm in the morning. While I don't have any napalm to offer anyone at the moment, I do have a knife in black G10.
The knife sports a cool grind, and I am quite proud of the end result. It is a full flat grind, but has already been "thinned" down. Before sharpening, the edge just did reflect some light. Measured about 3/16" up from the edge the blade is .020". Sharpened 13°-14° per side, finished on UF Spyderco. This one, too, feels like a large razor blade, and I really like it. The steel is superb stuff, almost identical in composition as the Blue 2 steels from Hitachi, with more tungsten.
I apologize for the bad lighting in the photos, it has caused some nasty reflections. "S Davenport" is etched on the left side, and "O7" on the right side. 1.2442 is considered O7 tool steel.
You can tell I've been sharpening lately! My fingerprints are always cut up. The knife does come with a kydex sheath, as well as free shipping to the lower 48 states. $225.
OAL: 8 7/8"
Blade: 3 3/4"
Handle: 5 1/8"
Thickness (ricasso): 0.110"
Steel: Stuartsmelt (because 1.2442/115W8 doesn't sound cool) @ 62HRC
