What is the difference between black g10 handles and black paper.
Is there a visible difference or texture between the two materials? I have standard black handles on my CGFBM but I dont know if it is G10 or Paper.
They have good grip and around the the tube fastener area the material almost looks like it is layered.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance

Tom

There's definitely a difference, but it's hard to explain, and even harder to tell unless you have them both side by side to make a comparison.

I think the paper is more finely grained so feels a little different. It s also more pure black from what I have seen

Sounds like you have G-10. It is more layered and you can faintly see the fibers that are used to make the material. Black paper is very smooth and even in color and texture. G-10 is also heavier and harder with a more plastic feel to it. Black paper is a little lighter and does absorb water, unlike g-10. Black paper is also, IMO, a little more sticky than G-10.

Hope that helps, just a few observations, 'cause I have plenty of both to compare.

I like them both, it just depends on what you want in a handle: something indestructible and heavy or something soft and "sticky".
