I made this one up about a month ago and planned on putting it to use myself, but I never seem to use a knife this size-I always seem to reach for one bigger :D I carried it around, put it on my belt once, but never found anything to cut with it, so away it goes:thumbup:

This one is convex ground 1/8" 1075, 8 3/8" overall, 3 3/4" tip to handle, with a polished rough satin finish. The finish is definitely not perfect, but you won't be afraid to put a(nother) scratch on it:D The handle scales are black micarta or G10, I'm not certain:o The were harder to work, are heavier, and have a smoother finish than canvas micarta, but I've never ordered G10 from anywhere so it may just be this batch of micarta.

It also comes with a servicable kydex sheath. It locks in place well, and fits over the belt and carries the knife, but I have to admit that my kydex working is almost as bad as my leatherwork:foot: There are a couple of wrinkles at the edge and the eyelets aren't perfect, but it is more useful than cardboard, though arguably not as pretty;)

I'm looking for $75 SPFon this one, paypal and shipping (U.S.) included. Paypal prefered, but I will take a USPS M.O.

Thanks for looking,

Nice work there Walt!

Having three of Walter's Bushcraft models, I could not more highly recommend them. They are simply awesome. Excellent and beautifully shaped ergonomic handles, edge geometry is spot on and they are super sharp. The first one I got from him has become my go to hiking knife and gets plenty of use. some quick licks on a strop and the edge is shaving sharp. I got two more only because I am a glutton. :D

The handle is 1 1/4" wide at the guard, just over 1 1/8" at the widest point in the center of the handle, and about 7/8" thick in the center.

My heat treat is pretty basic but works well on the simpler steels: normalized, brought just past non-magnetic and held for a couple of minutes, quenched in Parks #50, tempered 3X at 400 degrees for an hour.

Thanks,

Walter

Here's a couple of in hand and spine view shots. I've got wider than average hands to put things in perspective.
