Black handled Old Timer knives?

I saw a couple of Old timer 12OT for sale on an aution site that had black handles. Are these for real or are they cheap chinese knock-offs?

Did Schrade make black handle Old Timer knives?

Yes, there are some black derlin OT's around. I think alot of them were from the run of Copenhagen promotional knives that were put out about 8-10 years ago. I've seen several and figured that these were overruns that didn't get the Copenhagen shield put on them and were just sold as overstocks through big distributors like SMKW. I think I also remember some black ones with a "heritage" shield on them, but its been a while.

My Sharpfinger has a black handle. It was a give away promotion for Guns & Ammo magazine. It also came with a really nice pouch sheath.
