My two cents: I think the lower edge (beard) should be sharp. Like on RMJ's tactical. I see it as more tactical than fireman, as a couple of the other fellows do. For a fireman, I was thinking more adze/pry-bar end than spike. Like a Pulaski...

2 cent's worth is worth a pot a gold,feedback is what make's thing's happen you change with the time's or stay on the porch and just think about it.

Man, thats a great looking hawk Steve! That black handle really sets it off. You could also make both sides of the head a brushed look while keeping the top and bottom edges and collar black. Just another spin on the 2 tone design.
