The blacking process is a surface treatment like gun bluing which will change as the knife is used, think of the interesting patina that will develop over the years.
Forged from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles to assure a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind
Stabilized buckeye handle with black Micarta spacers
Distal tapered tang
Overall length: 10 inches
Blade: 5 inches
Oiled leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
