I have been trying to get the nerve up to try this for a couple years. Finally gave it a go. I like it.

I used fiebings oil dye and waxed them with bees wax.

One before and one after waxing.

Maus, that is outstanding. Also proves orange is NOT the new black......BLACK is the new black. They look different, almost as if they're not Micarta. Silky. Very cool.

Those came out great Maus. I'm interested to see how they'll wear with use. Hopefully you'll post some pics [emoji3]

That is badass. I have a couple sets sitting around that need this. I bet it wears in super cool.
Gotta look that dye up!

Wow, there's other colors like red and blue...interesting...
Someone try another color and report back lol

YOU try another color and report back! :D

What? Are you saying I should pay for the dye, do all the work, possibly cosmetically ruin a brand new set of micarta scales, an show my work for folks to skip the nonsense and get the correct finished product... All by myself!? Like Mauser did?

Incontheevable!

I like the black Maus did.....just not for me. Though, I might give them a carnauba wax (since I don't have beeswax). I like that idea.
