I am a hobbyist. I do not forge. Most of the knives I have made were my blade design forged by 2 forges. This is a Black Line Damascus blade designed by me and forged by Hercules Knives. The steel is 1095 and 15n20. I specialize in turning the blade into a beautiful knife using unique handle materials. The handle is stabilized Curly Maple, stabilized by me. The blade is 5" and the handle is 5". The pins are aluminum. The knife weighs 6.4 oz. The knife comes with a right handed Boltaron sheath made by me. I can produce a left handed sheath with the knife if notified before the knife is shipped so that I get a perfect snap-in fit. The knife is for sale for $150 including the sheath. I will ship anywhere in the continental US for that price. I have a 100% guarantee. If you are not happy with the knife for any reason, if you return it to me with the sheath, at your cost, undamaged and unused, I will refund your $150.
I had an inquiry about since I stabilized the wood, whether I had a guarantee against shrinking or cracking. That is always an issue when the wood is cut cross-grain (instead of along the grain), but cross-grain gives the most stunning look. I told him that I have a 100% guarantee. I am 77 but in perfect health. So as long as I am alive, if the handle shrinks or cracks, I will replace the handle or return the purchase price and that he would have my personal contact info to get in touch with me in the future.
Now for too much information. How does he know he can trust me since I just showed up on Blade Forums. Although I am retired, my professional website is still up. You can find me at: www.gustavsonlaw.com. Even though my resume was not up to date the last few years in my career, it will give you an idea of whom you are dealing with. I am also a NRA Patron Life Member and Golden Eagle. Does that info make me trustworthy? More or less trustworthy? I don't know. But you at least will know with whom you are dealing, more than just a "retired old man."
P.S. A special thank you to Cisco for helping me understand what I needed to include in the pictures.
