For Sale – ”BlackMamba”

Greetings Bladeforums! My full name is Calvin J Powell, but my friends call me “CJ”. I started making knives about two years ago using an old fashioned forge with a crank blower and have loved all things sharp ever since. I do both forging and stock removal. This is the first knife that I’ve listed here in the ‘for sale’ area so I truly hope you like it – it is a stock removal piece. I call it my “BlackMamba” and I can’t really say that it falls into a specific category. Those that I’ve shown it to seem to think of it as more of a fighter style so I suppose we’ll go with that. I do all the work myself including heat treating, tempering and making the sheaths.

Note: I've posted this piece in a few locations online so the first "I'll take it" gets it.

Blade Steel: 1095 High Carbon Steel 59RC
File Work: Vine & Thorn on blade area
Handle: Australian Horistes Burl
Bolsters: Highly figured Water Buffalo w/stainless spacer
Pins: 416 Stainless Steel
Sheath: : 6-7oz Premium tooling leather by maker to be made to buyers specs for right or left hand carry.

As an owner of one of CJ's pieces, I can highly recommend this knife. If not for a big purchase and a move, I would jump on this on a heartbeat. CJ is a perfectionist and my wife keeps trying to steal the knife he made for me so I think that speaks highly of CJ's work.

Wow, can't believe this is still here. I'm begging someone, please buy this before I lose my will. I'm in trouble enough already with my wife. If I buy this, I'll get the frying pan for sure.

Sorry for the delay in responding, I was out of town with no PC access. To answer your question, this one is about 9/64" at the bolster, a little over 1/8" and under 5/32" and tapers both directions. Thanks for the inquiry!
 
I wanted to bring the Black Mamba back around. Thank you for all of the previous comments! Someone is going to be very happy with this knife!!
