TS oozes cheese appeal - when I think of tiger stripes, I think of cheap crap m-tech knives with cheap crap coatings that aren't worth a crap...
Slap it on a Strider, and it looks in place (just an example, not setting a standard, nor is it the best example). Put it on a cheap knife, and it looks cheap and cheesy. Not that the 0350 is a cheap (in quality) knife, but lets not pretend it is something greater than it is. TS on a cheap knife to me is like putting a ginormous spoiler on a crappy car. "Hey everybody (who doesn't know what they're looking at), look at how bad-a$$ my ______ is!"
If you don't know knives, any knife with a cool looking coating is going to look, well, cool. If you know knives, you (shouldn't) be so easily fooled. TS has its place; when you're murkin' in the jungle.
With that being said, I too agree with the previously posted scientific data about TS making for a sharper edge. It is also statistically proven that it drastically helps with edge retention, lowers drag coefficient, increases MPG, and makes pre-pubescent boys hard on sight.
Get one in any finish you want, because it won't matter one bit once you use it and that coating looks like isht anyhow!
For what it counts, I have three 0350s in black.
