Black Oxide?

I am in the planning stage of getting a custom Alpha Hunter and wondering about the durability of the black oxide finish. I am trying to decide between black oxide with Ironwood scales or a mirror finish with Maple Burl. Any comments are welcome.

Have used both types as EDC A.P.F.
I think that the mirror finish shows use more.
Given a choice, I would go for the black finish...but I like to eat SPAM too...so, to each their own
