THOUGHT ALL WOULD GET A KICK OUT OF THIS. FEW WEEKS BACK I DUMPED A BAG OF HUNTING SUPPLIES IN MY BASEMENNT AND TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, A POWDER CONTAINER FELL FROM MY POSSIBLES BAG AND SPILT, UNKNOWN TO ME WHILE I WAS PROFILING A FEW BLADES THIS MORN, THE SPARK FROM A 36 GRIT BELT FOUND THERE WAY TO A 100GR. PILE OF GOEX BP. AND THE REST IS OBVIOUS , THE ENTIRE HOUSE IS NOW FULL OF SMOKE AND THE FANS ARE RUNNING TO CLEAR OUT B4 MY GAL GETS HOME FROM WORK.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I bet that was exciting as hellll! If it was on TV there would have been a big explosion.

I am real glad that all you set off was 100 gr.
If a whole horn had gone, it could have been a bit worse.
Good that you are safe.

It's true !! I've seen that many times in cartoons and now I know it really works.

good thing there wasn't containment, flash is bad, detonation catastrophic. Have you done as Chuck suggested and done an extremities inventory yet (after the shorts change of course :D )

Once I set off about 1/2 lb of shotgun shell reloading powder that was really old
even though I was expecting a flash it was really surprising.
The flames reached the top of my shop and it got really warm even from about 15 ft.
If I ever dispose of powder again I'll spread it out and make smaller piles
:)
