Black Raven w/ Unique Univ Calif stamp and date

Consider donating it. If they don't already have an example of one of those I bet the alumni foresters would get a kick out of seeing that piece.

I am planning on selling it. I would like to finalize the provanance of the inscription and date. Will consider offers, and thoughts on this.
Thank you.

Really nice find....Someone will be happy to add it to there collection !

That is completely fine if you want to sell it, but before you start asking for people to make offers you need to become a paying member of this site to advertise that it is up for sale.

Thank you. I can see the wisdom in this policy and reasons for being vigilant. Otherwise the forum would quickly revert to becoming a free appraisal and advertising arena.

Sorry for the miss interpretation. I have never been on this site before. I am very interested in finding out the history and provenance of this Axe.

I have been researching the provenance of the Black Raven Axe in my possession.
As stated previously It has Univ Calif. , two hands clasping and the date 1937, stamped on the reverse of the normal Black Raven Logo.

I tracked the Axe to who I believed to be a previous owner who died several years ago. I did find out he attended U.C. Berkeley.
I contacted the main research Librarian. She recommended checking out the Axe Chips Periodicals. This was also suggested by a previous poster.
I had the Berkeley library print up two years of the publication. 1936-1938.
No mention of the Axe there.
In fact it mostly had songs and poems. Anybody have any ideas or thought's ?
Thanks

If the folks at Cal want it give it to them. That is where it belongs.
