The black patina is a process much like gun blue and only effects the surface of the blade so as the knife is used this patina will change, but think of the patterns that will develop over the years.
Forged from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated in my Evenheat furnace to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind with forged texture on the flats
Full tang
Professionally stabilized figured maple handle. Please note the worm holes that showed up as I sculpted the handle.
Overall length: 11 inches
Blade: 6 1/4 inches
