Greetings and salutations to all! Here’s a new full size version of my Black River Hunter for your consideration, named after my favorite place on earth in eastern Arizona.

Steel is 1/8” x 1 1/2” in 52100 with professional HT at 60/61/. Hand sanded to 600 grit for a fine satin finish. The edge was around .012” before sharpening, it balances on the front pin and the shallow swedge flares at the tip for extra strength.

Dimensions: 10 1/4” OAL, Tip to Scales a tick under 5 1/2”

A spectacular pair of Macassar Ebony scales are sculpted for a very comfortable fit. It’s sanded to 1200 grit with stainless pins and1/4” lanyard tube and finished with Danish Oil and Wax. The handle is a snug fit yet easy to deploy from the deep sheath.

If anybody wants it I’ll throw in a wood beaded fob. Some like them, some don’t, some like to DYI.

Hi Dr Blazer Dr Blazer yes that's a beautiful wood, I'll definitely be using more. Thanks a lot,
John
I'll probably end up buying them haha. I have an addiction to Macassar Ebony and buy anything I see that has Macassar Ebony. I even have a Macassar Ebony humidor and don't smoke cigars hahaha. I tried getting into cigars about 20 years ago because when I saw the Macassar Ebony humidor that I have I had to buy it. I smoked cigars for about 6 months after I bought the humidor but I stopped smoking cigars after that 6 months. I occasionally smoke a cigar, but it's pretty rare, like once every 2 or 3 years. I still have it sitting on my nightstand just because it looks so good 😁. I also have 3 good sized ½-1" stabilized Macassar Ebony panels that I've been holding onto to eventually makes something with them. I also have a custom Chad Nell Podium that he made for me with Macassar Ebony scales. I was very lucky just because I mentioned to him how much I'm obsessed with Macassar Ebony. He never used Macassar Ebony before, and I told him as a joke to make any knife with Macassar Ebony scales and I'll immediately buy it. About 2 months later he made his first few Podiums and told me that he was making one with Macassar Ebony specifically for me. I couldn't be happier and, unsurprisingly, that is my absolute favorite knife, and I will never sell that knife. I also have 2 Chris Reeves Mnandis with Macassar, a couple Macassar Buck 110's, and a few other cheaper knives that I replaced the scales with custom made Macassar Ebony scales. I have every marbled carbon fiber Pena X-Series front flipper (and every titanium Pena X-Series front flipper including the UrbanEDC exclusive Seigaiha versions. I love all of his front flippers) and I've been thinking about replacing all of the marbled carbon fiber scales with Macassar Ebony.
