black southard flipper rumor to reality

I have not seen any indication or thread stating that a black version is on the way. But I have read that the person in charge of the project (I believe Eric is the one heading the project) has control of any future variants but no official statement has been made to that effect.

This is what I had heard as well. I do remember a while back somebody asking about variations of the Southard (might have been a black dlc version that was asked about) and the answer was that Eric was in charge of the project and if he felt the need for another variation then one could certainly be made, I would assume the same stands for a lefty version. It's a possibility, but only if Eric says the magic word.

honestly I wouldnt let the scale color hold you back. if you dont like the color its a perfect excuse to have a custom scale made for the knife.

This is true, being that the base color is still brown, you're pretty much limited to black in terms of colors that will be truly represented. Maybe navy blue but that might even be a bit of a stretch.
