Here's a bowie I just finished up. I'm calling it a bowie mainly cause its just alittle wider than the fighters I've been making the last couple weeks. This one has an 11 5/8" W-2 blade, iron guard and butt cap, wrought iron spacer, and a large black tail deer crown for a handle. Right around 17 1/2" overall. The widest part of the blade is 1 7/8".

Wow!!! That is amazing! Everything about that is pure perfection!! The finish, texture on the wrought iron, and the coloring on that stag flow together seamlessly.

Every time you post a knife, I always love them. You make the kind of knives I hope to make when i get better.

I guess you could call that a bowie. Whatever it is, it is brilliant. Really nice knife there.

Ray, Yes I was there, I enjoyed meeting some of the members on BF and visiting with other makers, so it was a good thing. Arkansas is in 3 weeks so I've been working on some mosaics for it.

Nice one Ray. I like your stretched bowies.

Bruce, This bowie was not stretched, it was hand forged. :D

Bill, Sounds like St Louis was one of those visiting shows. Maybe Arkansas is the one. With the economy the way it is and the presidential elections coming up not sure how knife sales will be this year. I always have high hopes about the Oregon Show but this one could turn out to be another nice visit.

That is nothing but a foot and a half of fine bowie knife Raymond, very nice!!!! I especially like the way you stained the handle!! What did you use to get it to look like that?

You did it again. You made my job drop and drool come out. Man I love you wrought iron fittings!

Ray I hope your wrong but I figure your not. We makers always have to be hopeful, but since this is my first trip to the Arkansas show, I'm sure it will be interesting if I sell anything or not.

Michael, I used leather dye to color the stag and then sealed with Watco Teak Finish.
