Very pretty!! The contrast in color and texture between the leather and skin insert really sets each one off nicely. The stippled effect of the stitching rows along the edge of the sheath echoes and carries the texture of the skinsert (my own word ) to beyond the skin itself, thereby serving to visually integrate the sheath as a whole. I also like the flow of the design that leaves varying shaped windows through which the insert is seen.
Get down, Daddy-o, you got the number! as Maynard G. Krebbs woulda said. That's truly rockin, I like all the parts and your serious carving on the cutouts. No holds barred on this bad boy! Good job Dan, I'm taking notes.
I'm not real partial to snake skin (Linda abhors the live ones and even the thought of dead ones give her the heebie jeebies) but this is the second one in two days I've seen that sets of bells.
