Man I don't really want to do this after all the work I put into it.......but after getting my ASH1.....I just don't see myself using the TGLB anymore.
Black and tan G10. I thinned it out behind the edge which is really needed with the TGLB. It now chops and slices MUCH....MUCH better!!! I also spent a good week sanding the finish on the hollow grind, as that coating is so thick....it really holds it back from deep cuts or chops. So with the thinned down shoulders and the finished removed on the grind.....it performs 100% better.
The finish was removed by hand sanding, so its not perfect. You can still see dimples and tool marks in the steel but I finished sanding with 220 grit......so you can keep it the way it is for a "user" or polish it out with higher grit yourself for a mirror finish.
Even though I thinned the shoulders.....I reprofiled the edge at 27.5 dps so its now nasty sharp, yet maintains a super durable edge.
This is definitely one of a kind as I've not seen one like this before.
