black ti finish

Hi all,
I purchased a REKAT pioneer from a friend, mainly to save it from it's hands ( how can you break serrations on a cold steel?).
The blade seems fine, with no chips or bends and the action is smooth.
The only flaw is a line on the blade, parallel to the edge , where the black ti finish seems to be worn out.
is there a way to restore it?
Thanks!

IIRC, there isn't - short of refinishing the blade itself. BTW, the coating is still there, the black colorization has just worn away so the knife is still protected.

As Spark said we can refinish the blade. That will take about 60 days BlackT is only done in Mississippi. The blade is still protected against the world of rust

Ouch!!! so i should send it back to you from Italy, wait 60 days ,and hope the customs or a "knife educated" postman don't like it too much........i am afraid that if i mail the knife, it will probably never come back ( so sad,a lost knife in a cold world , crying helplessly for his owner

Thank you for the answer,i think i will keep it like this.
By the way : if i would remove all the black coloration? just kidding
