Has Victorinox ever made a Pocket Pal (or similar) penknife with black scales?

I believe the Secretary is the same knife. I was just looking at them online with a silver alox handle. (I'm tempted.) I tend to go with the plastic handles in general for the tweezers and toothpick, but the Pocket Pal has neither; just a slim two blade knife. I was actually looking for the black handled one as you raised my interest.

I recently scored a NOS black Pocket Pal on the big auction site... and didn't have to pay any more than a new red one costs. They currently only come in red.

A red PP has been my main/most carried EDC of the last 20+ years. IMHO it's the best pocket knife made, for the money.

Be aware that the current Cellidor-handled Pocket Pal is downright portly:eek: when compared to the Alox Secretary...

;)

I have a secretary, and my daughter has a pocket pal. The secretary is way too thin, and painful on the hand, when using it very much. Get the celiodor, if you want a edc user.

I found a red one at a yard sale two weeks ago. I passed on it because it was really beat up. I'm more interested in the cadet these days anyway.

Good luck finding one

Picked this one up in the market a few months back, haven't really done anything with it :o

Likewise, this Elinox :o

You don't even need to open the blades on the secretary. The handle is thin enough to slice through most materials. ;) :p :D
